Sodium Persulfate
Sodium Persulfate is defined as oxidizing substance and belongs to a class of chemicals which gain electrons during their reaction with a reducing. In cosmetics, oxidizing s are used to destroy the natural pigment, melanin (i.e. effect bleaching), restore the normal oxidized state of hair or skin after exposure to a reducing (i.e. during permanent waving), and to form dyestuffs during oxidative hair colorants application. The substance is mainly used in our Hair Colorants and Bleaching applications as it helps to decolorize or lighten hair by oxidizing the colors present in the hair shaft.
