Histidine

Histidine can be used as a hair conditioning ingredient. As such it helps to increase the softness or smoothness of hair, reduce tangles, and reduce surface roughness. Most Hair conditioning ingredients sit on the surface of hair. In our products, Histidine is mainly used as chelant. Chelants are chemical compounds that complex metals and stop them from interacting with other molecules. As result of that the hair color is protected and will last longer and the preservative system is boosted. In Colorants chelants help to preserve the intended color result and product stability in case of metal ion exposure during manufacturing of the tint.
