Ammonium Sulfate

Ammonium Sulfate is used to thicken the consistency and buffer pH within our hair colorants. A buffer is a compound which absorbs swings in acidity or alkalinity without a large change in pH. Also, at relatively high pH, Ammonium Sulfate can be a source for Ammonia, the main alkalizer in most permanent hair colorants.
