Ultramarines are intensely colored and are mostly used in powder bleaches and powder hair colorants.

Undeceth-3 is a surfactant and emulsifier. It has 2 distinct sides: one side that is compatible with water and the other side that is compatible with oils. It is added to cosmetic products to enable the mix of non-mixable liquids, to make them compatible and stable over time.

Urea is mainly used in our perm products. It facilitates the perming process by allowing perm actives to easily penetrate the hair cuticles. However, Urea can have multiple uses in cosmetic products. When used in the formulation of skin care products, Urea is a humectant and increases the water content of the top layers of the skin. It also slows the loss of moisture from a product during use. Sometimes it functions as pH buffer and minimizes the change in the acid/base balance of a product when other ingredients are added to that product.

Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract / Leaf Extract contains many nutrients and a lot of them act as antioxidants and hence help to defend damages of skin and hair caused by free radicals. Due to its capability to reduce inflammation and its wound and burn healing, antibacterial, cleansing, detoxification, anti-dandruff and sebum regulation properties we use it in some of our shampoos, conditioners and scalp treatments. It helps with greasy hair and irritated scalp. It improves hair feel and makes the hair looking health and shiny. Another benefit is its ability to counter alopecia or hair loss. Studies have shown that nettle extract is capable to block DHT (Dihydrotestosterone - an offshoot of testosterone) and hence has the potential to stimulate hair growth and promote healthier, thicker hair strands.
