m-Aminophenol is mainly used as a color builder in products designed to provide a brown/greyish color. The color produced by mixtures of ME+ and m-Aminophenol can be described as dark purple-grey, grey-blue, and magenta.

Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil is a conditioner for skin and hair while deeply moisturizing as it penetrates into the hair, leading to conditioned feel, combability, softness, manageability and shine.

Magnesium Carbonate Hydroxide is mainly used to buffer and adjust the pH of a formulation to ensure a product's pH is at a desired level for product stability and consumer safety.We use it as pH buffer and bulking ingredient in powdered Hair Colorants to enable a proper handling during application.

Magnesium Chloride functions as a viscosity adjuster. It is mainly used to increase the thickness of a liquid product.

Magnesium Nitrate is part of a preservative system made of Methylchloroisothiazolinone and Methylisothiazolinone. There it acts as a stabilizer.

Magnesium Sulfate is a non-reactive, solid ingredient that is mainly used to dilute other solids, or to increase the volume of a product.

Malic Acid is used to to condition and restructure the hair. In cooperation with other ingredients it leaves the hair restructured, strong, soft and smooth. It can also be used to adjust the pH of a formulation to ensure a product's pH is at a desired level for product stability and consumer safety.

Maltodextrin is a Film Former that creates a moisture barrier. Maltodextrin provides a firmer texture to cosmetic products, which helps to stabilize emulsions and therefore improves shelf-life.

Mangifera Indica (Mango) Fruit Extract is mainly used as Hair Conditioner. It helps to increase the softness or smoothness of hair, reduce tangles and surface roughness.

Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil is often used as a substitute for the Peppermint Oil to perfume hair and shaving care products. We use it in our hair care products like shampoos, conditioners and masks as well as in styling products like gels and sprays in a blend with Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil as Fragrance and due to its antiseptic, regenerative, stimulating and cooling effect. Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil can treat the scalp in case of irritations and stimulate hair growth as it penetrates the scalp's surface, where it is able to stimulate the hair follicles and facilitate blood circulation to promote the hair growing stronger and healthier and it gives a bright appearance to it.

Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil is used in cosmetics for its minty fragrance and cooling effect, with some believing it may even encourage hair growth. Peppermint Oil is known to be antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory. We use Peppermint Oil in our hair care products like shampoos, conditioners and masks as well as in styling products like gels and sprays in a blend with Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil as Fragrance and due to its antiseptic, regenerative, stimulating and cooling effect. Peppermint Oil is widely used today, as a flavoring in foods, fragrance or “cooling” effect in cosmetics, and supplement for health conditions that include digestive problems and headaches.

Methylparaben is an anti-fungal ingredient often used in a variety of cosmetics and personal-care products. It's highly effective in preventing the growth of fungi and bacteria. It's used in a big range of products like hair color, shampoos, conditioners, leave on treatments and styling products.

Mica is a naturally occurring group of silicate minerals. Mica is used in cosmetic products as it imparts a sparkly white appearance.

Microcitrus Australasica Fruit (Caviar Lime) Extract is rich in AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids) or fruit acids which are known to be active exfoliators due to their low pH. Therefore it is widely used in Exfoliants. Caviar Lime Extract is also known to help to reduce cell adhesion in the outermost layer of hair without damaging and stripping them of their natural moisture. That helps smooth the surface by getting rid of the small imperfections and dirt, creating shine without causing damage (much like its exfoliation process with skin). In addition Caviar Lime Extract has been found to have three times the amount of antioxidants as other citrus fruit. This antioxidant effect helps reduce the effect of environmental stress and UV damage on colored hair, so it looks shinier and more vibrant for longer.

Microcrystalline Wax helps to thicken the lipid (oil) portion of cosmetics and personal care products and hence keep emulsions from separating into their oil and liquid components. The fine crystal structure also enables microcrystalline wax to bind solvents or oil, preventing the sweating-out of compositions. It has elastic and adhesive characteristics, which are related to its non-straight chain components and wherefore (beside its viscosity increasing and emulsion stabilizing properties) it is used in styling waxes.

Myristyl Alcohol is used in some of our Shampoos due to its foam boosting and viscosity stabilizing properties.Commonly it is used in cosmetics (Hair care, skincare, body care) as an emollient and a stabilizer, preventing separation. Myristyl Alcohol smooths the skin and prevents moisture loss.Myristyl Alcohol may also be used as a fragrance ingredient.
