Illite is added to our hair care products to function as absorbent to stabilize solid shampoo bars. Illite is further used to give the shampoo bars their reddish color.

Imidazolidinyl Urea prevents or retards microbial growth and therefore protect cosmetic products from going bad.

Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate prevents or retards microbial growth and therefore protect cosmetic products from going bad.

Iron Oxides impart a color to cosmetics and personal care products. Depending on the specific Iron Oxides or mixtures of Iron Oxides used, the color will vary from orange, red, yellow to black.

Isobutane is used as a compressed gas in aerosol propellants, usually in a mix with Butane and Propane. Propellants are needed to expel the product through the nozzle with pressure.

Isododecane is mainly used as Solvent, e.g. for higher molecular weight water insoluble components such as silicones.

Isooctadecanoic Acid is used for washing & cleaning products and many other industrial areas.

Isopropyl Alcohol is an Antifoaming ingredient which reduces the tendency of finished products to generate foam on shaking.Isopropyl Alcohol acts as a solvent to dissolve components in the formulation.Isopropylalcohol also helps to preserve the product.

Isopropyl Myristate is used as a binder and emollient for cosmetic products. Also as a lubrication enhancer it is used as a skin conditioner in cosmetic products.We use it in our Styling and Hair Care products provides sheen and lubrication to the hair. It's often used instead of oils to provide emollient properties (increasing softness, smoothness and moisturization)

Isopropyl Palmitate acts as lubricant on the  surface of skin and hair, which leads to a soft and smooth appearance wherefore we use it in some of our Hair Color and Styling products as well as in Conditioners.Isopropyl Palmitate is used as a Binder, added to products to dispense, swell, or absorb water, which increases consistency and holds ingredients together.

Isotridecyl Alcohol is used in some of our Hair Care products as it softens and smoothens the hair and enhances its appearance. Commonly it is used amongst others as an intermediate in production of surfactants and softeners as a raw material in the industries of cosmetics, drug delivery, metal processing, fiber finish, thermostable and biodegradable lubricant and solvent as well as surfactant. It can also be found as fragrance ingredient in personal care products.
