m-Aminophenol is mainly used as a color builder in products designed to provide a brown/greyish color. The color produced by mixtures of ME+ and m-Aminophenol can be described as dark purple-grey, grey-blue, and magenta.

Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil is a conditioner for skin and hair while deeply moisturizing as it penetrates into the hair, leading to conditioned feel, combability, softness, manageability and shine.

Magnesium Carbonate Hydroxide is mainly used to buffer and adjust the pH of a formulation to ensure a product's pH is at a desired level for product stability and consumer safety.We use it as pH buffer and bulking ingredient in powdered Hair Colorants to enable a proper handling during application.

Magnesium Chloride functions as a viscosity adjuster. It is mainly used to increase the thickness of a liquid product.

Magnesium Nitrate is part of a preservative system made of Methylchloroisothiazolinone and Methylisothiazolinone. There it acts as a stabilizer.

Magnesium Sulfate is a non-reactive, solid ingredient that is mainly used to dilute other solids, or to increase the volume of a product.

Malic Acid is used to to condition and restructure the hair. In cooperation with other ingredients it leaves the hair restructured, strong, soft and smooth. It can also be used to adjust the pH of a formulation to ensure a product's pH is at a desired level for product stability and consumer safety.

Maltodextrin is a Film Former that creates a moisture barrier. Maltodextrin provides a firmer texture to cosmetic products, which helps to stabilize emulsions and therefore improves shelf-life.

Mangifera Indica (Mango) Fruit Extract is mainly used as Hair Conditioner. It helps to increase the softness or smoothness of hair, reduce tangles and surface roughness.

Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil is often used as a substitute for the Peppermint Oil to perfume hair and shaving care products. We use it in our hair care products like shampoos, conditioners and masks as well as in styling products like gels and sprays in a blend with Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil as Fragrance and due to its antiseptic, regenerative, stimulating and cooling effect. Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil can treat the scalp in case of irritations and stimulate hair growth as it penetrates the scalp's surface, where it is able to stimulate the hair follicles and facilitate blood circulation to promote the hair growing stronger and healthier and it gives a bright appearance to it.

Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil is used in cosmetics for its minty fragrance and cooling effect, with some believing it may even encourage hair growth. Peppermint Oil is known to be antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory. We use Peppermint Oil in our hair care products like shampoos, conditioners and masks as well as in styling products like gels and sprays in a blend with Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil as Fragrance and due to its antiseptic, regenerative, stimulating and cooling effect. Peppermint Oil is widely used today, as a flavoring in foods, fragrance or “cooling” effect in cosmetics, and supplement for health conditions that include digestive problems and headaches.

Menthol is mainly used as fragrance ingredient. It is added to cosmetic products to ensure a nice smell, mask the unwanted smell of some ingredients, and enhance the experience of using the product. Mica is a naturally occurring group of silicate minerals. Mica is used in cosmetic products as it imparts a sparkly white appearance.

Microcitrus Australasica Fruit (Caviar Lime) Extract is rich in AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids) or fruit acids which are known to be active exfoliators due to their low pH. Therefore it is widely used in Exfoliants. Caviar Lime Extract is also known to help to reduce cell adhesion in the outermost layer of hair without damaging and stripping them of their natural moisture. That helps smooth the surface by getting rid of the small imperfections and dirt, creating shine without causing damage (much like its exfoliation process with skin). In addition Caviar Lime Extract has been found to have three times the amount of antioxidants as other citrus fruit. This antioxidant effect helps reduce the effect of environmental stress and UV damage on colored hair, so it looks shinier and more vibrant for longer.

Microcrystalline Wax helps to thicken the lipid (oil) portion of cosmetics and personal care products and hence keep emulsions from separating into their oil and liquid components. The fine crystal structure also enables microcrystalline wax to bind solvents or oil, preventing the sweating-out of compositions. It has elastic and adhesive characteristics, which are related to its non-straight chain components and wherefore (beside its viscosity increasing and emulsion stabilizing properties) it is used in styling waxes.

Myristyl Alcohol is used in some of our Shampoos due to its foam boosting and viscosity stabilizing properties.Commonly it is used in cosmetics (Hair care, skincare, body care) as an emollient and a stabilizer, preventing separation. Myristyl Alcohol smooths the skin and prevents moisture loss.Myristyl Alcohol may also be used as a fragrance ingredient.

N,N-Bis(2-Hydroxyethyl)-p-Phenylenediamine Sulfate (N,N-Bis for short) forms all nuances of blue and violet, depending on the couplers used, yet it provides a light and sheer color result.

n-Butyl Alcohol is used in our products primarily to dissolve other substances to ensure a high quality product over shelf-life.

Niacin is used to enhance the appearance and feel of hair.Niacin increases body, suppleness or shine by improving the texture of damaged hair.

Octocrylene is an UV Absorber and it is used in products that are applied to the skin and hair (such as Hair & Body Sun spray, Shampoos, Conditioner, Styling products or Hair Color Saving products) to absorb UV rays. Octocrylene can also be used to protect cosmetics and personal care products from deterioration by absorbing, UV rays.

Octylacrylamide / Acrylates / Butylaminoethyl Methacrylate Copolymer is a stiff resin with high holding power for control in all temperature and humidity conditions. It is applied in aerosols, pump hair sprays, and styling aids where long-lasting finishing hold is desired.

Octyldodecanol helps to form emulsions and prevent an emulsion from separating into its oil and liquid components. It also reduces the tendency of finished products to generate foam when shaken.use it in Care and styling products as moisturizer and emollient as it makes the hair feel soft.

Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Seed Extract is known to infuse the skin with moisture and imbue it with elasticity, leaving it radiant and translucent.We use it in our Care and styling products as it is known to balance the scalp's natural oils, which helps to reduce and prevent dandruff.It also helps to strengthen the hair against damages caused by environmental conditions such as harsh weather, heat and UV radiation.

Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil is meant to increase the smoothness of hair, reduce tangles and surface roughness.

Oleic Acid is used to give the product, e.g. color cream its consistency. Its inclusion supports mixability of the color cream and the developer. Depending upon how much is used and what other ingredients are present, it also can be used to create gel-like consistencies. Oleic Acid is also partly responsible for delivering dye molecules into the hair fiber.

Oleth-10 Phosphate is a versatile compound used to clean skin and hair by helping water to mix with oil and dirt so that they can be rinsed away. It also helps to form emulsions by reducing the surface tension of formulas and helps ingredients to dissolve in liquids in which they would not normally dissolve.

Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil contains UVA and UVB-absorbing materials, and is therefore known to have antioxidant properties. In addition, it is known to provide the best care for sensitive, irritated and damaged skin. It absorbs easily and soothes the skin. We use Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil in our products because of its moisturizing and intense conditioning properties to increase the smoothness of hair and to reduce tangles and surface roughness.

Ozokerite and other waxes thicken the lipid (oil) portion of cosmetics and personal care products and help to keep emulsions from separating into their oil and liquid components. These waxes lessen the brittleness of stick products (i.e. lipsticks). We use Ozokerite in Styling products as it also regulates formulation viscosity, has suspension properties, and gives products stability.

p-Aminophenol provides lighter, less intense shades than ME+, and depending on the couplers used, the achieved hue varies from yellow to orange to red.

p-Phenylenediamine is a primary oxidative dye and helps to impart a color to hair. Once activated it reacts with couplers, such as MAP, Naphthol etc. It forms multiple different molecules of different colors.

Palmitamidopropyltrimonium Chloride functions as antistatic in Hair Care products as it reduces the static charge by neutralizing the electrical charge on the hair surface. Due to its hair conditioning properties it makes the hair easy to comb and increases the volume and sheen.

Panthenol is used in our products mainly as hair conditioner. It can help to enhance the appearance and feel of hair, increase hair body or suppleness, facilitate styling, improve gloss or sheen and improve the texture of hair, including hair that has been damaged by chemical or physical action. In hair care Panthenol has a moisturizing and smoothing effect or it can be used as a provitamin on the scalp in the hair roots. The moisturizing effect means that the hair does not feel dry or fragile. Panthenol is also a skin conditioner. It helps to increase the water content of the top layers of skin / scalp, acting as a lubricant on the skin surface, which gives the skin a soft and smooth appearance.

Paraffin is used in Hair Colorants and Hair Care products like Repair or volume emulsions as well as in styling products due to its viscosity and emulsion stabilizing properties and as it helps to soften and smoothen the hair to improve the hair feel.

The Mineral Oils we use in our cosmetic products are of pharmaceutical grade and thus are very pure.In hair colorants Mineral Oil in added to improve product consistency, both for the developer itself, and for the mixed mass of colorant and developer. We use Mineral Oil instead of other natural oils because of its high purity (no metals contamination) and high saturation (all single Carbon-Carbon bonds). Those two features make it very stable in our products, to ensure you experience the intended performance and product consistency throughout the shelf life.Mineral OIl is also known to form a shield over the skin/scalp to protect it from external elements and helps seal in moisture to aid the skin natural barrier as well as to provide soothing.
