Tin Oxide functions as an abrasive, bulking and opacifying agent in cosmetic products. We use it mainly as opacifying agent.

Tocopherol is added to our products as an antioxidant to prevent product spoilage through deterioration caused by reaction with oxygen. Toluene-2,5-Diamine Sulfate permanently colors hair via oxidative reaction. Permanent dyes need to be mixed with peroxide just before application on hair. Oxidative Dyes can be primaries or couplers. Primaries are usually substituted p-Diaminobenzenes or p-Aminophenols. They are colorless and react with the oxidative couplers in the presence of Hydrogen Peroxide which results in the desired hair color. The exact color obtained depends on the other ingredients that are added to the hair coloring product.

Tragacanth (Astragalus Gummifer) Gum helps to keep an emulsion from separating into its oil and water components, and increases the thickness of the aqueous (water) portion of cosmetics and personal care products.

Triceteareth-4 Phosphate helps to form emulsions by reducing the surface tension of the substances to be emulsified so that water-soluble and oil-soluble ingredients can be blended together.

Tridecane is commonly used in combination with other substances, i.e. Undecane or Pentadecane and is known for its conditioning and fast spreading characteristics.Due to its volatile properties, products containing Tridecane are easy to apply, absorb quickly and leave a smooth, dry feeling on hair and skin.

Trideceth-6 is an ingredient of a liquid dispersion polymer which we use in our products as a rheology modifier, stabilizing, emulsifying and texturizer. In this mixture it mainly functions as emulsifier as it helps keep unlike ingredients (such as oil and water) from separating in the emulsion and hence improves stability and product performance.

Triethanolamine is used to adjust the pH of a formulation to ensure that the pH of the product is at a desired level for product stability, consumer safety and product performance.

Triethyl Citrate is mainly used in our styling products. It is an antimicrobial ingredients. It helps to kill or prevent the growth of microbes.

Trihydroxystearin increases the thickness of the lipid (oil) portion of cosmetics products. When used in skin care formulations, it slows the loss of water from the skin by forming a barrier on the skin's surface.

Triisopropanolamine can be used to control the pH of cosmetics and personal care products, and to help stabilizing emulsions by reducing the surface tension of the substances to be emulsified. Triisopropanolamine also prevents the corrosion (rust) of metallic materials used in packaging cosmetics and personal care products.

Trimethylsiloxysilicate is a silicone hair Conditioner. It helps to increase the softness or smoothness of hair, reduce tangles and surface roughness. It can also be used as Anti Foaming ingredient. It reduces and helps to avoid foaming of a finished product when shaken and during production.

Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, or EDDS, is a chelant which selectively binds to and deactivates certain metal ions, based on their size and charge. Metal ions are present in hair and in tap water all over the world, and more often than not, have a negative impact on hair color results and product stability. EDDS binds especially to copper to reduce hair damage, color after color, which also improves color results - more true to tone, and more even results from root to tip. Also, this chelant is not impacted by calcium, which blocks common chelants.

Trisodium Phosphate is classified as chelating agent, which are ingredients that have the ability to complex with and inactivate metallic ions in order to prevent their adverse effects on the stability or appearance of cosmetic products. At times it is important to complex calcium or magnesium ions which are incompatible with a variety of cosmetic ingredients. Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Oil is mainly used as hair conditioner and Antistatic. As hair conditioner it helps to increase the softness or smoothness of hair, reduce tangles and surface roughness. As antistatic cosmetic ingredient, it reduces static electricity by neutralizing electrical charge on a surface of the hair. This helps to prevent frizz that is caused by static.

Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Starch is a natural cosmetic ingredient used for abrading, smoothing, or polishing (rub away or scrape the surface layer of cells or tissue from the skin) and as ingredient that have the capacity to absorb or soak up liquid which increases consistency and holds ingredients together.As a non-reactive, solid ingredient it is also used to dilute other solids, or to increase the volume of a product or the thickness of the aqueous (water) portion of cosmetics and personal care products.

Ultramarines are intensely colored and are mostly used in powder bleaches and powder hair colorants.

Undeceth-3 is a surfactant and emulsifier. It has 2 distinct sides: one side that is compatible with water and the other side that is compatible with oils. It is added to cosmetic products to enable the mix of non-mixable liquids, to make them compatible and stable over time.

Urea is mainly used in our perm products. It facilitates the perming process by allowing perm actives to easily penetrate the hair cuticles. However, Urea can have multiple uses in cosmetic products. When used in the formulation of skin care products, Urea is a humectant and increases the water content of the top layers of the skin. It also slows the loss of moisture from a product during use. Sometimes it functions as pH buffer and minimizes the change in the acid/base balance of a product when other ingredients are added to that product.

Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract / Leaf Extract contains many nutrients and a lot of them act as antioxidants and hence help to defend damages of skin and hair caused by free radicals. Due to its capability to reduce inflammation and its wound and burn healing, antibacterial, cleansing, detoxification, anti-dandruff and sebum regulation properties we use it in some of our shampoos, conditioners and scalp treatments. It helps with greasy hair and irritated scalp. It improves hair feel and makes the hair looking health and shiny. Another benefit is its ability to counter alopecia or hair loss. Studies have shown that nettle extract is capable to block DHT (Dihydrotestosterone - an offshoot of testosterone) and hence has the potential to stimulate hair growth and promote healthier, thicker hair strands.

Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit/Leaf Extract, Bilberry Fruit/ Leaf extract is known for its high content in antioxidants, natural fibers, and vitamins. (Bilberries have about 4x more antioxidants than blueberries!)Due to its anti-aging, antimicrobial. anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties we use it in some of our scalp treatments.

Xanthan Gum is a polysaccharide water phase thickener used in hair colorants to modify the consistency of the color cream. Xanthan Gum helps the color to stay where it is placed on the hair. During shelf life it helps to keept the product stable within the tube.

Yellow 5 is intensely colored. It is mainly used in semi-permanent hair colorants. Yellow 5 may also just be used to impart color to cosmetics and personal care products.
